Our primary focus in the SLEUTh Lab is on U-Series disequilibrium geochronology. Most of our research projects focus on past climate and sea level change, but more broadly address topics within carbonate and isotope geochemistry, sedimentary systems and diagenesis, weathering, and ocean chemistry.
Our lab spaces include a customized metal-free clean lab for Th/U chemistry, storage and sample-prep space, and mass spectrometry facilities. Our instrument is a Nu Plasma 3D MC-ICP-MS with multiple Daly detectors (install coming October 2024!)
We are not yet hosting lab visitors or taking on contract work, but we anticipate doing both in the future. If you are interested in collaborating with us or learning more about our lab capabilities, please contact Andrea Dutton (dutton3@wisc.edu) and Emily Mixon (eemixon@wisc.edu).
